Excited salesman shout eager invitations into microphones and promise increased vitality and strength from the snake blood. HAHAHAH!!! sounds like an eye opener eh!!!The surrounding street around this market also has many stalls which sell delicious tradtional Taiwanese eats like custard cakes, rice sausages, and dried squid. You must try these treats to get a real taste of street food in Taiwan.
Seven Star Mountain (Chihsingshan) is the tallest mountain within Taipei City and can have great views. As you're hiking up, you may think that you've come to the top (the trail goes up and down a couple of times), but you'll know you're at the top when you come to some benches and a directional post with a thermometer on it. some exercise to wrk off the fats frm smelly toufu and all the yummy delicious taiwan snacks!!:)
Danshui (Fisherman's Wharf)Danshui (淡水鎮), a quiet fisherman pier. Here you'll find snacks & the famous “old street” (老街) where they sell almost anything...cheap. They even have live seafood! Fresh from the fisherman's net & cook on the spot. SLURP!!! L.I.V.E. S.E.A.F.O.O.D!!!:):):)

hello people!! i'm here to submit my homework for our taiwan trip!! (:
i've found this really good website tt's meant for youngster like us who are planning to explore taiwan on our own. hmm..basically the website has all most/all of the places of interest of different regions of taiwan and even directions on how to get there.
oh!! the website is http://www.youthtravel.tw/ .
the web is quite cool coz it provides info like travel guides, directions, addresses, telephone numbers and even temperatures of different cities and towns. i've already combed the website already and here's a summary of it. (:
NORTH
consists mainly of beaches, waterfalls, natural reserves and hotsprings plus come cultural sites.
those listed below are places where i think we'll be more interested in going, so i've excluded those museums and cultural sites.(:
1) Beipu Cold Spring
2)Beitou Hot Spring
3)Jinshan Hot Spring
4)Wulai Hot Spring
5)Chingchuan Hot Spring
6)The Northeast Coast National Scenic Area--there's bu dai xi(puppet shows) and we can have seafood along the beach!! (:
7)Jioufen Old Street--heard from teachers and my bro tt this place is a must-go if we visit taiwan.(:
CENTRAL
consists mainly of those 'ming sheng gu ji' , scenery viewing spots.
1)Tongpu Hot Spring
2)Lushan Hot Spring
3)Sitou Forest Recreation Area
4)Nine-turns Lane
SOUTH
consists mainly of beaches, hot springs, museums, temples and scenic areas.
1)Ai He--love river?? i just thought this sounds damn funny so yepp.haha.
2)Guanzihling Hot Spring
3)Baolai Hot Spring
4)Kenting Forest Recreation Area
5)Saijia Aviation Park
6)Matzu Temple--haha.always heard abt this temple in taiwan variety shows, maybe we shld visit it.heehee.
7)Moon World--description says tt it's similar to moon's surface..hmm..interesting..
EAST
consists mainly of beaches, diving spots, whale watching spots, forest, lakes and cultural parks.
1)Shanyuan Beach--activies: swimming,sailing,scuba diving.
2)Dabaisha Diving Area --heard tt it's dangerous so maybe we shld give it a miss.safety first.(:
3)Chaikou Diving Area

5)Shihlang Diving Area
6)Hualien Harbor--activity:whale watching.
Fugang Fisherman's Harbor--activities:whale watching and gobbling of cheap and fresh sashimi!! (: slurps.
7)Green Island--"Bathing in the hot spring under the stars at night is especially popular with visitors" haha.quoted from the web.(: sounds damn cool.
8)Shihtiping--activities:whale watchiing and scuba diving.
9)Mt. Jinjhen,in Taima Li--can go and see the whole field filled with blooming flowers. "April-May pure white lilies cover the mountain, which is a sight welcomed just as warmly by visitors". (:
10)Sunrise Hot Springs
11)Suao Cold Springs
12)Jiaosi Hot Spring
13)Jhihben Hot Springs
OFFSHORE ISLANDS
consists mainly of scenic spots.
ogay.so tt's all i have so far.sorry tt it's rather lengthy.but got substance one ok.haha.and not to forget, the temperature over there ranges from 5degree C to 22 degree C.it'll be rather cold/cooling so we have to bring long sleeve or warmer clothes to keep ourselves warm.oh ya,talking abt tt,we have to get ready some survival kit like first-aid box, cold relief pills etc.
so in conclusion,i think the north and east regions would have more things and places for us to explore, compared to south, central and offshore islands.yepp.coz i believe we'll to choose regions to visit coz we most likely wont have ample time to tour the whole of taiwan.maybe u guys can check the website out or do more research aand then decide.haha.oh,and i hope the info provided by this web is realiable.haha.maybe we can check and tally w other websites.haha.(:
P.S. i really hope we can execute our plans for this trip coz i'm really looking forward to it.and yepp,i'll research more and will post them up soon.till then~ (:
